Before my son, Dustin died in 2005, I was a social butterfly, the friend who carried the burdens of my friends. Suddenly all of that changed and I needed someone to help me. It was difficult but soon realized that the friends that actually stayed with me after his death were true friends. Believe it some of the "friends" I had left me. rarely heard from, I am talking friends for 20-25 years.
Today I want you to know that I am thankful when you visit my blog, when you write....not sure thankful is a good word but all of you are very much appreciated! You just have no idea what it means to me.

ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, no your not being sappy, just honest and that is a breath of fresh air. Don't be sad about your lost 'friends'. After having worked in a hospice for a number of years, I found there are plenty of people who are so fearful of dying they will avoid (even leave long term relationships) just to avoid be confronted with its reality. You have plenty of others out here who care. :)

Just found I didn't have time to for negative friendships any more and I would rather be alone with God than with negative people. Have a good day, keep your chin up!
